We recently celebrated FusePhase’s anniversary, and it’s got me thinking a lot about the last four years.
First of all, it’s hard to believe how quickly four years can fly by. I’m reminded of this when I think about the fact I had a fourteen-year-old daughter when I launched FusePhase in 2013. It seems as though I blinked, and all of a sudden, she turned 18. A couple of weeks ago, I found myself attending college orientation with her, which they refer to as an “Intro-duck-tion” at the University of Oregon, home of the “Fighting Ducks” (sidenote: who knew ducks were so violent?). So, yes – it turns out that what they say about time flying when you’re having fun is most certainly true.
But besides that, I just feel really grateful. I’m grateful to be in a position of working with so many different types of businesses doing cool stuff around the Bay Area and beyond. I love helping to ease the stress of managing their finances and operations so they can focus more on their passions, and in doing so, contribute in my own way to their greater overall purpose. To have been able to devote so much of the last four years to this endeavor has been rewarding to me on many levels, both personally and professionally.
Just like any business, we’ve had our share of tough lessons and growing pains along the way. But I’ve got to say, it’s been pretty amazing to be able to go to bed every night with the satisfaction of knowing I’ve learned something new today, and I’ll, without a doubt, learn something else tomorrow. Even better, I’m having a heck of a lot of fun doing it.
For what it’s worth, I want to personally thank our friends, family, partners, and supporters in whatever capacity for your part in helping FusePhase to grow and thrive over the last four years. You’ve played a key role in allowing me to do what I love, which is helping other business owners do what they love.
And to all of our business clients, thank you for letting FusePhase be a part of your journey. You continue to inspire me and our work, and I look forward to seeing where our continued partnership will take us.
